Univa Grid Engine 8.1 Enhancement (Part 7): Univa Grid Engine Job Classes (2012-06-29)

Job Classes are definitely the biggest contribution to Univa Grid Engine 8.1. They can simplify usage and administration of a Grid Engine cluster dramatically since the users no longer have to take care the about dozens of qsub command line parameters when they want to submit jobs. They or their administrators have just to setup such a job class for a specific application once and during submission time all what is required is the name of the job class.

My Univa colleague Ernst started a series of blog entries about the upcoming Job Class feature of Univa Grid Engine 8.1. Check it out for more details.
